Spring cleaning for your PC syncing in two simple steps

How this improves performance:

  • Faster data exchange
  • Greater security when all peers are accounted for
  • Clearer network management

Let's get started

1) Take a look at your sync networks (Sync Folders and Outlook Groups)

Open SYNCING.NET and check all Sync Folders ("Files" tab) and Outlook Groups ("Outlook" tab)

You can then ask yourself:

Do I still actively use this network? Delete Folder/Outlook Group
Are the invitations for networks up-to-date?
2.) Check the status of each member

Open SYNCING.NET and click on "details" for each Sync Folder and Outlook Group.

Checklist for all network peers/PCs:

Does this peer/PC still need access to the network? Delete outdated members
Has the peer been assigned the correct User Role (access rights)? Change assigned role
Do you only have one Administrator PC in the network? What happens if this PC crashes or is not available? More info
Do you want this network peer to only have read-only access or more? Change assigned role
Has an invited peer still not accepted an invitation? Is it still necessary?

For offline peers ONLY (Gray Symbol ):

Is this PC still in operation? Delete outdated PCs
Is the PC running the most current software version? Download now
Is the offline status correct (e.g. is this peer only on vacation)?

Pressed for time? Not a problem. You can also find this information in our latest blog entry.
