What means the error message: ”MAPI-Error: MAPI_E_NOT_ENOUGH_RESOURCES”?

What means the error message: ”MAPI-Error: MAPI_E_NOT_ENOUGH_RESOURCES”?

We are not sure If the error means that the Hardware resources used by Outlook are exhausted or If the pst file is corrupt.

First of all you should try to repair your Outlook profile(s) and pst file(s). Use OLfix for this.

If the error appears again you should close some other programs and try again.

What means the error message: ”Store/Folder does not exist” or ”The folder X is not supported”?

It seems another program blocks your pst file. Do you use additional software for Outlook doing backups or accessing the pst file permanently (e.g. ActiveSync)?

If this error appears repetitively, you should:

1. Remove the SyncNetwork and exit SYNCING.NET for Outlook.

2. Check and repair your Outlook profile(s) and pst file(s). Use OLfix for this.

3. Launch SYNCING.NET for Outlook and create a new SyncNetwork.

It is also possible that your hard drive has some errors on it. Use “chkdsk” to check and repair.

What means the error message: ”Request is related to wrong SyncNetwork”?

You have excluded a folder from the synchronization but there were still changes (requests) for it. That’s the reason for this error. Please ignore it.

After installing SYNCING.NET for Outlook 1.x, why can’t I synchronize my PDA with MS ActiveSync anymore?

This entry only applies to SYNCING.NET for Outlook 1.x

As a workaround, you should do this always when using ActiveSync.

1. Start Outlook. SYNCING.NET will be started by Outlook if it is not running.

2. Exit SYNCING.NET (Just exit, don’t delete any SyncNetworks).

3. Connect your PDA to the computer. ActiveSync will do its job.

4. Disconnect the PDA.

5. Close and restart Outlook. SYNING.NET will be started by Outlook and send the changes to the other computer(s).

Why I’m unable to install SYNCING.NET for Outlook with Windows Vista? Error message: DEP (Data Execution Prevention) is enabled!

You will need to disable DEP (Data Execution Prevention) in order to install SYNCING.NET but it is a little bit dangerous, if you leave it disabled for a long time. Please go through the following steps to disable DEP, install SYNCING.NET and enable DEP again:

1. Open a command prompt with administrator rights: Click on Start -> type “cmd” in the search box -> right click on the entry cmd.exe on the top of the program list and select “Run as Administrator”.

2. Type “bcdedit /set nx AlwaysOff” and hit “Enter” (This disables DEP after reboot).

3. Reboot your machine.

4. Install SYNCING.NET

5. Same as step 1.

6. Type “bcdedit /set nx OptIn” and hit “Enter” (This enables DEP after reboot).

7. Reboot.

We apologize for the complicated solution for this problem. Vista is supported but on some machines there are problems. If you experience problems after installing SYNCING.NET, please contact us again. We have workarounds for all Vista problems.

I’m using SYNCING.NET for Outlook (version 1.25) and my SyncNetwork was automatically removed. Why?

This problem (that SyncNetworks will be automatically removed from the software) is known, but appears only with a few Notebooks and only in the LAN mode and especially after going into stand-by or hibernate mode. It’s a Windows problem, because Windows provides on startup network drives but shows the file list as empty for a few minutes. SYNCING.NET for Outlook is “thinking” the manager removed the network but he didn’t. We still have no solution for this problem but a workaround.

You should rebuild the SyncNetwork or just join the existing SyncNetwork again and then:

1. Turn off the auto run (Start with Windows Startup) of SYNCING.NET for Outlook (Configuration -> Options).

How can I activate SYNCING.NET for Outlook without internet connection?

To activate SYNCING.NET for Outlook while you are offlin, please follow the next steps:

2. Double click the file “GetDS.exe”. It will be created a new file “Get.DS.txt” into the same folder.

3. Send us the files “GetDS.txt” and “lcNew.dat” (located in the same folder) via E-mail.

We will send you a new file “lcNew.dat” with it you have to replace the old one. Then the activation is successful.

How to convert the format of the PST-file from Outlook 2002 to the format of Outlook 2003 or higher?

To convert the format of your PST-file from Outlook 2002 to the format of Outlook 2003 or higher, please follow the following steps:

1. If you still use Outlook 2002, please upgrade to Outlook 2003 or higher.

2. Close Outlook and leave all SyncNetworks or delete all SyncNetworks.

3. Rename your old PST-file (for example to Outlook_old.pst) and copy this file as a backup copy to another folder (for example to the desktop). The PST-file is located in this folder C:\Documents and Settings\user account\Locale Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook.

4. Start Outlook. You got the message: “The file “C:\Documents and Settings\user account\locale settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst” cannot be found”. Please click “OK”. Now you will be asked for the folder the PST-file is located. Select NO existing file and click “open”. A new PST-file will be created.

5. Import your old data into the new PST-file: Click in the menu File on “Import and Export”. Click “Import from another program or file” and click “Next”. Click “Personal Folder File (.pst)” and click “Next”. Please insert to “File to import” the path and name of your old PST-file and click “Next”. Select option “Import items into the same folder in:” and then the name of the new PST-file. Follow the last steps from the Import/Export assistant.
