Great News for Syncing.net Customers and iPhone Users

As you know, you can sync (Outlook and Files) with Syncing.net software in groups of up to 25 PCs at a time (and also daisy-chain additional groups of 25 PCs together, but that oultine is beyond the scope of this article - email us if you want to hear more). What we want to share now is how to have the additional benefit of a seamlessly synchronized iPhone to one of your Syncing.net sync groups.

blog_iphoneOverview. Let’s say you have Syncing.net Professional Edition synchronizing your Microsoft Outlook across multiple PCs — we call this an Outlook Group. Now you take the iPhone and use Apple’s application MobileMe to synchronize one of these computers (e.g. PC #1) to your iPhone. That’s all. It’s that easy and everyone can do this. You can do this. Read on for a detailed explanation with examples.

Let’s break it down a bit further with an example. Using the conceptual graphic on the left, let’s say a client’s contact information is updated on PC #1. This update will then be synchronized across the whole Outlook Group and updated on every other PC. Now, the iPhone will need to be synchronized to only a single PC using MobileMe. As soon as the PC that is synced to the iPhone receives the client’s updated information, then MobileMe’s Push technology will take care of the iPhone. Likewise, if the update starts from the iPhone, it is MobileMe that will Push it to the PC and then our software will spread that change throughout the rest of the group.

The same scenario holds true for other smart phones. As long as they (e.g. the smart phones) have a viable sync technology to sync to a PC then our software will work simultaneously, effortlessly and as good as you’re going to get at this price point. Hands down, we are the best solution for giving you the power you need to work in today’s integrated, connected world.

Hooking into “Social”

Taking a look around the web we now see many areas people like to congregate. While blogs are a favorite stop the social media crowd are visiting some special websites and forcing them into the spotlight nowadays. It remains to be seen just how much one can monetize Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Xing, etc. but what is true is that people enjoy interacting with one another in these virtual social playgrounds. People want to be there, together, and therefore businesses want to be there too.

Unleash the Marketers! In come the snake oil salesman, the sheister, the carpet bagger and the uncreative all whom crowd the social arena along with the good people, businesses and services that really could benefit from one another.  Perhaps it has always been this way when business tries to reach customers but the new(er) social media venues seem to bring an old world, carnival feel.  Everyone and every business of all qualities are mixed together.

From a marketing perspective you do want to be there to rub shoulders with the crowd BUT from a good neighbor point of view the marketer needs to be there with useful information. Metaphorically speaking, every business and marketer needs to leave the bad hair piece and synthetic leisure suit at home and then come and play on the social networks. Be there to share and have your good deal, useful information or worthwhile service at the ready but enter with your personality first, not your product.

It’s about the connections. It’s networking. It’s fun and works very well when properly performed.
