SYNCING.NET Takes Over Canadian Data Synchronization Specialist

Toronto/Berlin, August 14, 2007 – German SYNCING.NET Technologies GmbH has taken over Canadian software developer Syncura. The company from Toronto, Ontario has developed a technology for automatic synchronization of files.

SYNCING.NET is a specialist for synchronizing data-based applications such as Microsoft Outlook. The software “SYNCING.NET for Outlook” synchronizes any Outlook folder between multiple computers via local networks or the Internet. The fully automated process does not require a central server. The strategic acquisition will enhance the existing technology of SYNCING.NET.

For the Berlin based start-up, the acquisition is an important step towards technology leadership in the field of peer-to-peer synchronization. “The integration of Syncura into our technology base enables us to offer even more flexible and easy-to-use solutions to our customers” said Matthias Kandeler, founder and CEO of SYNCING.NET Technologies.

Syncura has developed a technology for automated serverless peer-to-peer file-sharing between many PCs. The integration into SYNCING.NET’s products will lead to considerable improvements of their usability. Within a few minutes, users will be able to set up secure sync networks between their computers and exchange data within a team or with colleagues in a fully automated fashion. This makes SYNCING.NET into the first provider of a full-scope solution for serverless synchronization of files and Outlook data worldwide. The market launch of new products over resellers is planned for the fourth quarter of this year.
